These rules are presented almost verbatim from a booklet titled "Official Rules Of Play", published by the United States Paddle Tennis Association in 1995.   I am not sure if this organization still exists.   They no longer maintain an official website.   You may notice that some of the rules seem a bit outdated such as 'Payment of Fines' and 'Dress Code'.   Nevertheless this version of the rules is usually endorsed by tournaments in the Los Angeles area, including the National Championships.   The printed rule book is a 20 page paperback pamplet which includes a Code Of Conduct, the enumerated rules, court diagrams, a Glossary Of Terms, and a USPTA Statement Of Purpose on the inside back cover.

The official rules have previously appeared on at least two other web sites, both of which are no longer active: 1) the USPTA site - maintained by Phil Ender, and 2) Solergy - maintained by Sonia Ode Lucci. The version presented on this site is based on the text from the USPTA site.
